If you folks have been reading you'll notice that I like nearly all calibers. New old and in between. So of course I do have a few 30 caliber rifles and a couple in the wings waiting for new barrels and other nice gun trinkets :)
The rifles ready to go are an Interarms/Zastava .30-06 24" #2 barrel profile, a sporterized Winchester U.S. M1917 in .30-06 with original barrel profile, a Savage Model 11 in 300 WSM 22" #3 barrel profile, a Savage Model 10 in .308 24" bull barrel profile, Savage Model 111 in .300 Win. Mag. 26" Varmint barrel profile (I seem to like the Savage rifles don't I :) ) a Winchester Stainless Classic Model 70 (crf) in 300 WSM 24" #3 barrel profile and a DPMS Oracle in .308 16" heavy barrel.
There is another Savage Model 10 in .308 that a new barrel is on it's way along with a new 26" Varmint barrel for the Savage 11 that will remain a 300 WSM. And I almost forgot a sporterized 1898 U.S Krag that was given to me by one of my very best friends and a member here. The receiver and other small bits are going to MJ Tulo Gunmakers after the first of the new year for case color hardening and I will install a Criterion barrel in original profile that I will cut back to 24". It will remain .30-40.
And again with the exception of the Model 10 in 308, and the Model 11 in 300 WSM I only use the crf rifles for hunting (Interarms, M1917 and the Win Model 70). Though the Krag will keep me company in the deer hunting woods at times too.
