I don't know if any remember my pictures of this buck in velvet this past summer. After 9 days of considerable searching ( I passed up several buck's ) thru my deer hunt & then the first day of my wife's hunt we finally found him. Because of the non typical shape of the horns we felt it should be elimated from the gene pool. A very large body I would estimate at least 225lbs live weight. Taken by my wife with a Ruger 243 taht I bought new the first year of production 1967. Still a tack driver.

You can clearly see the point of bullet entry & right thru the heart.

This is the buck ( left deer ) in velvet this past summer & then disappeared from my scouting until early Nov.
